I started shooting film at a time in my life when I felt very alone. A time when I was insecure, quiet, and scared of what I wanted to do with my future. The idea of perfectly encapsulating a significant memory; big or small; was comforting to me in a period where life seemed to move so fast. After I practiced shooting film for a longer time, my feelings of insecurity and confusion seemed to pass by because I was able to ground myself in my art, find my voice, and make friends as I did it. The collections of film below were taken at the earliest in my sophomore year of high school up until now, I am currently a sophomore in college. Film teaches you to slow down and take your time, and will always be something I can use to ground myself in hard times. Enjoy :)
